The Sonnenhof team

Proprietor Joseph Faymonville has recruited an outstanding team of knowledgeable staff over the years.  Their motivation, love for the animals and diligence form an ideal basis for successful breeding and training in day-to-day activities on the stud farm – and very often also on weekends.

Besitzer

The owner of the Sonnenhof stud farm can look back on 20 successful years of breeding and competition (in particular Lord Loxley, Louis Le Bon).  He has turned his farm into a reputable stud for the breeding of Rheinland horses and put together a qualified and motivated team.

Our first rider and breeding director stems from Spain where she trained under Olympic rider Beatriz Ferrer-Salat in Barcelona.  After numerous triumphs all the way to the Grand-Prix (including Spanish Master, 5th in the World Cup in Frankfurt), she decided to gain international experience.

Having started at Hom Kasselmann, she then moved to Wolfram Wittig, and after riding for 4 years for multiple Olympic dressage winner Isabell Werth, she has headed Sonnenhof since 2011.
